I can’t believe that it will only be a week or two until the schools break up for the summer holidays. I hope the weather improves again for them, it’s always difficult to find things to entertain children when the weather is poor.
And what a shame that Goodwood had to cancel the Festival of Speed yesterday! They just couldn’t take the safety risk with the predicted high winds – it was certainly blowy here!
It’s been a slow, steady week at the shop and I have added a few more items to our sale rail including a couple of dresses, t-shirts, tops and sandals. Worth a browse to grab a last minute bargain for your holidays.
Our belts, handbags and straps have been very successful and stocks are already low, so I will be placing another order soon. A belt really makes a difference to an outfit – worth a try if you haven’t before?
Robell delivered three large boxes on Wednesday containing Autumn/Winter stock – can you believe it? So I have brought them home to organise. Lots of them are actually top up sizes of our regular styles i.e. cords and jeans but I’m not sure what else yet as I am still wading my way through!
I had a lovely, spontaneous day trip with my best friend this week – we visited Lordington Lavender Farm, followed by lunch at The Deck in Emsworth.
We were lucky with the weather and only had to dive for cover once when the heavens opened, but it was fine because we were able to enjoy coffee and cake in the marquee! Which I must say was delicious. Lunch at The Deck was a treat. My friend loves fish and thoroughly enjoyed the crab and salmon salad – we’ll definitely be back there. Here we are amongst the lavender during the dry spell – you’ll notice we are both wearing our camera bags!
