On Wednesday it will officially be Spring.  Longer days bringing rejuvenation, renewal and regrowth.  I have already noticed the beautiful Magnolias, snowdrops, daffodils and crocuses – even my Japanese Maple is budding and our grass could really do with its first cut.  That is always a tough job, but the ground is still very wet…. I’ll leave that job to my husband!
The idea of some warm and dry weather ahead is appealing, although I don’t think next weeks forecast reflects that just yet!
We start to turn our thoughts to holidays and spending more time outside.  Maybe you need to replace those old sandals and refresh your Spring wardrobe?  We really have some lovely colours and styles of dresses, trousers and tops.  This Adini dress called “Roxy” is no exception – working well for luncheons or weddings!
I have received notice that nine boxes of Caprice have been despatched so I will have to start taking away the winter stock to make way for the new season styles.  Last chance to take advantage of the half price winter footwear discount, so if you have had your eye on something, call in sooner rather than later.
I met more new customers this week – visiting from Locks Heath, Petersfield and Guildford.  Emsworth is such a nice place to visit which is great for independent retailers.  Yesterday a new shop was opened, “Naked Pantry” selling eco-conscious products and produce such as loose pantry staples, herbs and spices, nuts and treats etc.  I wish them good luck and will be calling in myself to check it out!
Have a great week, take care of each other and be kind.
