Last Saturday we drove to London with my parents-in-law to see Les Miserables and we spent the night in The Victory Services Club.  My father-in-law is an ex submariner so we are very lucky to get to stay there.  It’s a great location at Marble Arch and the breakfast is always scrummy!  We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves – I know Les Miserables is such a favourite – a first for me – the singing was fantastic but I think I prefer something more lighthearted.  Really pleased to have seen it though.
We were home again by Sunday afternoon – aren’t we lucky to live so close to London?
We have put our house back on the market this week – things seem to be picking up and Spring is always a good time for selling, so we are keeping our fingers crossed.  So I’ve been busy trying to keep clean and tidy ready for those viewings!
It’s been an “on/off” week at the shop – some glorious weather and some not so glorious!!  Our Spring windows are getting noticed and I’m delighted that you are already thinking about your summer wardrobes.
As I say every season, its always chaotic with deliveries and finding homes for the new arrivals.  I had just managed to get everything straight and packed away on Wednesday.  I had changed the windows and inside displays, moved and rehomed some stock all ready for leaving the shop in Annie’s hands, when a large delivery arrived from Robell!!  Back to temporary chaos!!
Lyn is away now for a couple of weeks so Annie and I are holding the fort between us – can we be trusted?  Ha ha – I’m sure Lyn will be keeping an eye on us!!
We are still pressing on with the winter sale items but how do you like these new trousers just in from Robell? They are “Lena” with the little cut out ladder effect at the ankle. They will be fantastic for the summer and holidays!
Have a great week, take care of each other and be kind.
