I arrived at the shop on Monday morning to find that the roadworks have returned! Not only that, there were also some temporary lights on the Havant Road! Uuurrggghhh we are surrounded by them!
Surprisingly though, I had a busy day. Walking groups, planning meetings and generally good weather seemed to make the town busy. One customer was staying at the Brookfield Hotel on a short break from Abingdon, and loved our shop. She left with two pairs of new trousers and took a card to browse the website from home.
People’s life stories are so interesting! I met a new customer who travelled over on recommendation to visit Emsworth, from Titchfield. She left very happily with some new sandals for an upcoming wedding. She was brought up in Hawaii of all places!! Later that day a regular customer and her daughter called in and shared her story of deciding to try roller skating when she lived in Southsea – it resulted in her travelling to America aged just 17, with a roller skating show!
It has been a lovely week – I also saw two of my longest standing customers visiting Emsworth from Southsea who I haven’t seen in a long time as they have been in on my days off – Sue and Penny you know who you are! It was so nice to see them and catch up.
I’ve been wearing my new summer addition this week which you can see here – they are so easy to slide on, super comfy and super sparkly in the sunshine! These also come in black and are available on the website.
The forecast is looking good for next week so I am hoping to be busy, busy, busy!
