Bank holidays are lovely, but they are damaging for small businesses. This month is particularly tough with three! That on the back of the Easter break last month, makes quite a difference to income. It seems to take everyone a day or so to get back into their “normal” routine, so I found Tuesday very quiet this week. Wednesday was better as the predicted rainfall didn’t really come to much, so I am keeping everything crossed that things settle down now until the last Bank Holiday at the end of the month.
Our new website is taking time to work it’s way back up the pecking order on the search engines but I did have a nice sale this week, some goodies heading off to Kent. You can also order on the website to secure your size and use the option to Click and Collect so that there is no postage charge and we will hold the items for you in the shop for collection.
The rest of the week was much better with the improved weather. Lyn and Annie have been kept busy. Trousers, t-shirts and sandals have been hot sellers this week. Our Caprice sandals are difficult to beat as far as comfort is concerned and these are a beautiful soft leather with an elastcated ankle fit and cushioned footbed – they come in green and white too.
The weather was absolutely gorgeous yesterday and we were able to keep up with some garden maintenance – more weeding and grass cutting. Of course, we had to reward ourselves with a G&T and a chinese takeaway!
Have a good week – look out for each other and be kind. Sending you lots of love, good health and best wishes.
