As I mentioned in last week’s email, Lyn and I travelled to Bournemouth again on Monday to view the Robell Summer 2022 collection. We were faced with the usual quandary of which colours, styles and lengths to order! We have topped up on your favourites and added in some extra seersucker which were popular this year. We have re-introduced “Lena”, as well as a fresh blue and white print.
You will have seen that we have added some end of season items to our sale, as well as one or two items of footwear. There are some genuine bargains but, as always, it’s the luck of the draw if your size is left.
I spent time on Tuesday and Wednesday updating the sale and checking off the sizes on the website – it’s so time consuming! And thanks to Annie, a new sale window is now on display to tempt you too!
I was also quite busy with customers and a further Caprice delivery – gorgeous showerproof chunky boots with laces and zip fastening – just as the sun came out again!
On Thursday I went to hospital for a small, straight forward procedure for which, once again, I thank our wonderful NHS! After a worrying time I was relieved that it was all over, and, as the title reads, the week just got better and better for me!
By the time you read this, George, Ian and I will be on our way to CarFest South. For obvious reasons, this event was cancelled last year, and so we are really looking forward to this new experience, plus it’s not too far to go either, which is great – a combination of cars and music, food and fun, and for me, what I really enjoy, is people watching!!
Monday is a Bank Holiday so the shop will be closed, but I’ll be back on Tuesday – not long now until it’s back to school and George settles in to his final year at Secondary School – that is unbelievable!
