It had been a steady week at the shop until yesterday! What a miserable day – if the forecast is to be believed it will be brighter towards the end of the week.
We took delivery of the first drop from Carol C Collections, which is our FOIL order. I couldn’t resist having a little try on, so the dress needs pressing but isn’t this lovely? Not normally the colours I would opt for myself, but I must say I was surprised how much I liked it. It’s a lovely shape with a dipped hem, pleats on the sleeves and pockets!
We have a very busy week ahead with meetings to view collections with Adini, Caprice and Robell. Fortunately the furthest we have to travel is Bournemouth which isn’t so bad.
What a lucky girl I was on Thursday! I was invited by an old friend to attend Ladies Day at Goodwood Races – in the Member’s Bar! What a treat – and what a day – probably the only dry day of the week. It was great fun, certainly all the better for having winners! It was such a thrill cheering on our horses and I just could not believe how lucky I was. I know nothing about gambling on horses (but I did have a little read of the Racing Post), but having been so lucky on previous races, I decided I had nothing to lose, so I put £20 to win on the last horse and I was jumping up and down watching it win!!! It was amazing so I won £150! I’m still buzzing now.
I was brought back down to earth on Friday when I caught up with my book-keeping and calculated my VAT – uurrrrggghhhh! You win some, you lose some I guess!
