Ian and I are just back from a week visiting family in Scotland. We had a lovely time relaxing. Ian played golf and as usual, we over indulged in food and drink! It was a little cooler up there but dry, and we had a fair amount of sunshine. It is always great catching up and spending time with our family whatever the weather.
We had one of our worst journeys home – 11.5 hours!! It usually takes 8. Lots of roadworks and average speed checks, lane closures – oh my goodness it was a bit of a nightmare. When we did eventually arrive home, we were shattered, but had to gather ourselves to attend a reunion at our local. We made it, and glad that we did, but couldn’t wait to fall into our bed at midnight!
So it’s a lazy couple of days for me catching up with the washing and then back to the shop tomorrow. However, I am delighted that the shop had a much improved week – I must go away more often! Not quite as good as previous months of June but much better than it has been. Dresses have been flying out of the door which is really pleasing.
This weather is helping, and next week is looking good again too, so I am really hoping that our busy run continues.
