Monday and Tuesday were good sunny days bringing people out. Wednesday a reasonable morning, and then the rain came. We always know that we will get punished after a spell of good weather. It did at least clear the air and by the weekend we were sunny again and Lyn had a busy Saturday.
We are now re-stocked with a range of different colours of the leather Camera handbags. These have the silver hardware and are £40 – we also have a good selection of optional straps at £12 each.
At home everything has been revolving around the birthday boy – organising gifts, food and this fabulous birthday cake which I thought was worth sharing to show you how wonderful it was!! I had this made by the fantastically talented Phoebe from Millpond Cakes who I can thoroughly recommend. We first used Phoebe for an anniversary cake for my in-laws and we were so impressed that I knew I wanted her to make George’s 18th Birthday cake, so I booked in the date with her 6 months ago. You have to get in early because she is so popular.
We have another bank holiday weekend which is great for George – time to recover from all the celebrations and hopefully today, Ian and I will be off out for the day somewhere. No fixed plans – we’ll see what the weather is like. Enjoy the extended weekend and I’ll be back in the shop on Tuesday. In fact I’m also in Wednesday and Thursday this week, because Annie has a day off.
