My first customer this week was a nice gentleman who came in to buy his wife one of our beautiful hand painted silk scarves for their wedding anniversary on Wednesday 12th June!  He didn’t know of course, until I told him, but this is also my wedding anniversary, in fact, this year is our Silver – 25 years!  Poor Ian, ha ha! My customer was celebrating 48 years – how wonderful.
The door opened a bit later and I was busy concentrating on updating my stock, when this voice said “Hello Karen” and when I looked up it was an old school friend with her mum.  I haven’t seen her for probably 30+ years!  What a lovely surprise and she was just as I remembered her – fabulous sense of humour and looking great.   Of course we don’t live far apart but our paths just don’t cross, so it was really nice to have a brief catch up.
Tuesday was much quieter and colder!  I had a summer dress on and kept my jacket on all day – it’s June!!!  Come on sunshine, please stop teasing us and come and stay for a while!
I am longing for the days when we can keep the shop door open – I have just started to bare my legs and wear sandals but by the time I get home, my feet are freezing and I can’t wait to get my socks on!
With this weather being so undecisive, cardigans are so useful, and we do have this beautiful soft Marble cardigan which comes in khaki or white, with pretty little pearlised buttons, ribbed cuffs and hemline – further details are on the website or, of course, call in to the shop.
Wishing you a warm week ahead, take care of each other and be kind.
