It was a slow start to the week so I decided to fight with the Christmas lights! No matter how well I pack them away each year, they still get into a tangle!
We got there in the end, a few baubles a bit of tinsel and our blossom light tree, and we are all ready for the Christmas rush!!!  I wish!
It’s another really tough winter for us – the town seems really quiet. Online shopping is killing the High Street and I know everything is going up in price!
I have tried my very best to keep my prices to the absolute minimum and absorbing as much as I can but there is a limit.  So as ever, I urge you to shop small, shop local and keep our High Streets alive.
It hasn’t been a great start for Sir Keir Starmer, his popularity has nosedived. He has now set out his six new pledges, denying that it is a reset following Labour’s first few months in government.  One of his pledges promises to put more money in the pockets of working people.  He says that by the end of the parliamentary term, we’ll have a better health service, better homes and better energy bills, at which time we will be able to judge on whether he has delivered what he said he would.  Well we’ll have to see, but that is a long way off and my concern is how we scrape through in the meantime.
On a positive note, we have KC back – she has recovered from Covid and came back to work on Thursday and Friday this week, Annie had a day off and Lyn was in on Saturday – which was dreadful thanks to storm Darragh!  It is a reminder that Covid is still around and even the healthiest of people are not safe.  I am hearing more doom and gloom about the pressure on the NHS again this winter as the “quad-demic” hits, with increases in flu, norovirus, Covid and RSC (respiratory syncytial virus).  So please be aware, wash your hands and keep those pesky bugs away!
I don’t wish to sound negative but the reality is, that it is a very difficult at the moment and I am doing my very best to help Karen George survive. We are online ourselves of course, so if you do happen to look at our website and encounter any issues, or have constructive criticism, please let me know so I can resolve them.
Here’s some of our lovely Pachamama sheep to keep you warm and cheer you all up!  We have hats, handwarmers and headbands available in this fun print.
Until next week, take care of each other and be kind.
Our website is available for online orders, click and collect and delivery.
