Lyn was on holiday this week, and sadly, Annie suffered a family bereavement, so it was just me! I can’t remember the last time I worked the full week, but I did enjoy my time at the shop.
In between customers, I changed the windows and the inside displays. Another delivery arrived from Robell – the Bella black needlecords in the shorter leg (73cm/29″). In fact it has been a week for trouser sales – the change in weather is obviously making you think about your winter wardrobes. A good few pairs of boots have sold too.

The week went from strength to strength ending with a really busy Saturday. I almost had to close for the afternoon, as I had my covid injection booked and really didn’t want to cancel the appointment. Fortunately, Lyn’s visitor left on Saturday morning and so she was able to step in and finish the day for me. I am so pleased that she did because she had a busy afternoon and we ended the week on a high! I hope this momentum continues next week.
George starts his apprenticeship tomorrow! First day at Highbury college so an earlier start for me as I’ll be dropping him off enroute to the shop.
