As I explained in last weeks email, Lyn and I attended the Lee on Solent Golf Club, for ladies coffee morning.  It was so lovely – the ladies were all friendly and seemed to be excited to have us there.  Two of the ladies were actually my PE teachers from Crofton School!  It was great to see them and apparently they remember me as being very “sporty” – I said that I bet they say that to everyone!!  Although I must admit, it was one of my favourite lessons.
It is quite an effort to organise and strip the shop of stock, leaving poor Karen to work with whatever is left for the day, but it is worthwhile.  We had a good laugh, made some new connections, and some sales, followed by a delicious lunch.
So it was quite busy for the rest of the week putting everything back into place and getting the windows and shop displays changed – time just flew.
Royal blue is certainly a popular colour – everybody loves it and of course it is a peronal favourite of mine!!  So this week I’ve selected this top to share with you.  It is perfect for the warm weather – a lightweight viscose slub, in a relaxed fit, with a boat neck.
On Friday evening, Ian and I travelled to London and went to the 100 Club to watch The Vintage Explosion – what a fabulous band and amazing atmosphere.  We stood right at the front – they played so many of my favourite songs from 50’s and 60’s as well of some of their own new music.  It was so powerful and I loved it.  We were dancing (well I was) – you just couldn’t help but move and sing along – check them out on socials – they are from Glasgow and the lead singer’s voice is just fantastic – Rod Stewart said he is the best white soul singer he’s heard.
I hope you’ve been enjoying the weather. Sounds like it’s here for a few more days, so do have a good week, take care of each other and be kind.
