Yes, this week the Pachamama delivery arrived – so we have restocked with a couple of new additions including a hedgehog tea cosy and this lovely thistle design handwarmer and headband. They always make brilliant gifts for Christmas – they sell so quickly, so be sure not to miss out. I will be adding them all to the website in the coming days.
Shopping is so theraputic – I spent time with a lovely lady who had had a particulary difficult year caring for her husband. In fact she almost lost him, but fortunately, after weeks in hospital and the fantastic care from the staff at QA, he is now home. Life is different for them now, but they can start to get back to their new “normal”. So she thoroughly deserved some “me” time and enjoyed the opportunity to treat herself.
It was a pleasure to help her feel good and make her happy. We chatted and laughed, as she tried many different things. Some worked, some didn’t, but she was grateful for my honesty. She left thrilled with her purchases and I was quite happy too!! It reminded me of exactly why I do this – it’s not even the money (because quite frankly that remains a struggle) but it was so rewarding to help someone to feel wonderful and she was such a nice lady too. I really enjoyed her company.
I hope that we have created a warm, welcoming atmosphere in our shop. We are only too happy to help without being overpowering – we are there to help if you’d like it. No pressure.
