Sunday evening we all sat down and watched the Elvis film – what a voice.  He really had something special – a heartbreaking story.  I enjoyed it, but what a waste, and to die so young.  Very sad.
We were up bright and early Monday morning and drove to Brighton to spend the day.  We visited the exhibition “This is the Modern World” (all memorabilia of The Jam and Style Council), followed by some shopping and sight seeing.  We also treated ourselves to a spontaneous lunch in The Ivy Asia – luckily they had a table for two.  Oh my goodness, what a treat it was – it was really delicious, and the surroundings were breathtaking.
It’s been a great week – Ian and I are so proud of George for passing all of his GCSEs and achieved the grades required in order for him to attend CEMAST college to study Motorsports – phew!  It was a tense morning but, naturally, we are thrilled for him.  And so the next chapter begins….
He is now off to the Portsmouth music festival, Victorious – another worry!  I hope he has fun and that the weather stays dry for them all.
Have we got a treat for you next Summer?!! We have ordered some stunning colourful Robell trousers for next year AND a small selection of their really popular “Happy” jackets – just in white, emerald green and this fabulous pink – I just love it – what do you think?
I hope you all enjoy the bank holiday weekend – we will be visiting the Emsworth Horticultural Society and Emsworth Show, at the NLCC grounds in Thorney Road.  Karen George has sponsored the ‘Garden Flowers’ section of the Horticultural Marquee, so I will be looking out for that display!  Maybe I’ll see some of you there.
In the meantime, have a good week.  Look out for each other and be kind.
Sending you lots of love, good health and best wishes.
