Another wet start to the week. If you ever want the shop to yourself and our undivided attention, the best time to visit is when the weather is poor! By Wednesday it had dried up and I was so pleased to see customers again. Thankfully, Annie and Lyn had better days than me. Boots and trousers have been selling well this week. We’ve also had a bit of a run on the Pachamama goodies.
I had a visit from an old school friend – it is always lovely to see her. She arrived with flowers and lots of hugs. Her life is so busy and she has an infectious zest for life. We have set a date for a proper catch up over lunch when neither of us are working.
This was the first week for a while when I didn’t have any plans for my days off, and was able to totally indulge myself at home – cleaning! I know that sounds ridiculous but I love it when the house is clean and I’m on top of my washing and ironing. I cooked some nice meals and have a curry underway ready for Strictly Come Dancing.
Of course, today, we remember the sacrifice and service of all those that have defended our freedom.
