I love chatting with my customers – I’m a bit like a hairdresser…LOL we talk about the weather, whether I’ve been busy and what holidays we have arranged! So far I know of people travelling to Australia, Liverpool, Madeira, Majorca, Greece, a river trip on the Seine, and the Canary Islands. I even had a lady in from Fareham, just up the road, who comes to stay in a caravan in Nutbourne quite frequently!
I received our final summer delivery from Adini which gave me some lovely new items for the window display. I am endeavouring to get them on to the website as soon as I can – I think this dress in the image is going to be popular once the sun comes out.
It was fun selling a pair of trainers and a cardigan to one lady who had called in to the village to buy some compost, and another for WD40 and popped in saying “I’m only looking”, and subsequently left with a new top from the new arrivals. I always say that the spontaneous purchases are the best – if you see something you like, buy it, as it’ll either be gone, or you won’t find anything when you are intentionally looking.
I have removed the remaining sale boots and replaced them with more sandals and more bargains!! Do call in the shop to check out our range soon!
