Hello everyone,
Firstly, thank you. I have been so touched by the kind messages, support and visits over the past few days — it really has meant more than I can say. One lovely customer even treated me to some daffodils! And it’s been such a joy to see so many of you coming in and loving the new stock already.
This week we have been inundated with deliveries, and the shop is starting to feel wonderfully colourful and full of promise.
Our Orientique pieces have arrived — this is a trial brand for us this season, so numbers and sizes are limited, but oh my goodness they are gorgeous. Bright, joyful, easy-to-wear styles that are already flying out for holidays and warmer days.
One lovely customer snapped up this most fabulous bright orange top from Adini last week, to take to Barbados — even more special as she’s Barbadian herself (though now living here in the UK!). Isn’t it just perfect sunshine dressing?
Another customer was absolutely delighted to discover Orientique too, as she can’t wear synthetic fabrics — the sustainable cotton and rayon fabrics were exactly what she was looking for. Moments like that make everything worthwhile.
We’ve also had:
Robell crops delivered (a firm favourite, as you know!)
Frandsen summer gilets in navy and green — lightweight, practical and perfect for spring days.
Not everything is on the website just yet, but it will be very soon — if you’d like to see it all first, popping into the shop is definitely the way to go.
You may have noticed the van still parked directly outside the front of the shop — yes, it’s still there and yes, it’s still frustrating! I’m keeping the pressure on with the council to have that space changed to a 45-minute limit like the rest of Emsworth, as being completely blocked from view really doesn’t help. Fingers crossed we’ll see progress soon.
We did, however, get a glimpse of sunshine this week — and goodness, how it lifted our spirits. I’m really hoping we’re turning a corner now.
