I hope you are all enjoying this lovely Bank Holiday weekend and making the most of the extra day, whether that means family time, fresh air, a little relaxation… or perhaps a slice of cake somewhere along the way!
It has been a very quiet week in the shop, if I’m being honest. Those quieter spells can feel especially noticeable in a small independent business, so I’m choosing to focus on all the beautiful things we do have waiting for you, and to look ahead to a bright new month.
May feels full of promise, and I am very ready for that.
We’ve had a final small delivery from Adini, including some gorgeous new pieces that are perfect for the warmer days ahead — lightweight fabrics, easy shapes and beautiful colours. I’m still waiting for some of the images to arrive so I can add everything online, but they’ll be making their way onto the website very soon.
This week’s featured piece is this fabulous pair of loose-fit viscose trousers from Adini in the most striking blue. Cool, comfortable and effortlessly stylish, they are ideal for holidays, summer days and simply feeling fabulous while staying comfortable. They are now live on the website.
Even in a quieter week there have been lovely moments. A customer in Wales spotted a pair of shoes in one of our Instagram window photos and asked me to post them to her — which I was delighted to do. Another lady, visiting her son locally, fell in love with one of our vibrant Orientique Amalfi Coast print dresses and simply couldn’t leave without it… despite admitting she already owns enough dresses to fill a shop herself! That did make me laugh.
The Emsworth Arts Trail has brought a lovely buzz to the village this weekend, with tomorrow being the final day, so if you are out and about please do enjoy it.
We are closed for the Bank Holiday Monday, but open again as usual on Tuesday and I would absolutely love to see plenty of friendly faces next week.
