The UK recorded the coldest January night in 15 years, so during this cold snap, it is really important to keep your head warm as a significant amount of body heat is lost through your head.  Personally, I cannot bear the cold in my ears and either a hat or a headband is really useful to cover them up – headands are a great option if you find hats too warm or just don’t want to spoil your hair!
We still have a good stock of Pachmama hats and headbands, all Fair Trade, made by the ladies of Nepal.  This Highland Cow design is one of our best sellers – aren’t they cute?
It was great to be “back to normal” this week, back at the shop for my usual days. I couldn’t wait to get the windows refreshed – they are mostly loaded with sale stock which will likely be the case until February! Great bargains finding new homes with a mix of non sale accessories, trousers and outerwear.
I’ve chatted with lots of customers this week about their travels and travel plans.  One lady had just returned from the Canary Islands and was off in a week or so to Australia!  Another lady was heading to Australia to visit her daughter.  Another couple had been on a cruise to Antarctica and another had booked a Caribbean cruise!!  Our Annie is off skiing again soon too, so it’s all happening – no accidents this time please Annie!
Ian and I have just booked a trip to Rome which we are really looking forward to, so if any of you have already been and have any tips or recommendations, please send them my way!
Until next week, keep warm, take care of each other and be kind.
