I hinted last week that I was off on a little trip and that I’d tell you all about it today. Well I’ve been to Rome for four nights! What a delightful place to visit, but oh my goodness what a lot of walking… I thought the first day was bad enough at 24,500 steps but the next day we did 37,000!!!
There was so much to see and we really went for it – the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palatine Hill, The Vatican, Pantheon and the Jewish Ghetto and Trastevere – WOW, was I pleased to have comfy shoes!!
We loved it – the people were friendly and the food was great. It was exhausting but worth it.
Speaking of comfy shoes, these sandals have arrived and will be perfect for the summer – they are also coming in pink and taupe.
Enough about me! In the meantime the deliveries all descended upon Lyn and Karen – three boxes from Marble, five from Caprice and another from Robell! I am very grateful that between them, they coped and I am looking forward to seeing it all tomorrow and finding my way around all of the newness. I will need to spring into action and get this all loaded onto the website just as fast as I can.
It was unfortunate that I missed my aunty’s funeral whilst I was away so I am having a busy weekend catching up with all of my family – it’s always lovely to see them despite the circumstances.
