George has been away on another training course this week, so the house has been quiet, and therefore I was ready to leave earlier than usual on Monday morning. As soon as I reached the M27 it was down to 40 mph and then just after the M275 turn off, traffic started to flow again. However, the Havant Road in to Emsworth was at a standstill. I literally crawled the rest of the journey and didn’t open the shop until 10.30am!!! So I am sorry if I missed anyone – there are four way traffic lights at the end of the pond (Bath Road) whilst they fix the wall.
Not the best start to the week, nor is it great timing for business as it has been quiet anyway, and this traffic will certainly put people off visiting. I was hoping for a busier spell since we are now in half price sale. As usual, when running a small business, sometimes it feels like everything is consipiring against you!
But let’s not be too negative! The sun was shining on Tuesday morning and all of the temporary traffic lights had gone. The improved dry weather did at least bring in a few more customers, but business continues to be a struggle.
Not wishing my life away but I am pleased to see the back of January.
I have reduced these fabulous Caprice boots by 20% so they were £145, now just £116. The navy and cognac is a great combination, however at the time of typing there are only three sizes available, 36, 37 and 41.
Our sale page on the website includes all season items, some of which are in storage so if you are off on holiday, it might be worth a browse – I have already had a few sales of summer tops!
Until next week, take care of each other and be kind.
Our website is available for online orders, click and collect and delivery.
