Despite some miserable weather, we have continued to have a steady week which comes as a huge relief to me. I believe we have also gained lots of new customers along the way! It’s been fantastic and I am so thankful.
It is still a delicate time, but so long as the momentum keeps up, I am confident that we will at least be here throughout the Summer. We’ll just continue month by month and gauge how things are going – until people regain confidence in spending I think there is a rocky road ahead for small independent retailers. There are many factors to consider not to mention a potential Government shake up and let’s face it, none of us know what’s around the corner.
So let’s live for today! Let’s be positive and look to a brighter future – the Spring and Summer stock is here and the colours are so uplifting. Our Adini delivery of gorgeous dresses and tops arrived on Friday so I will be getting those on display in the shop and available online on Monday. If you have planned holidays or special occasions keep a watch on our New Arrivals page – it is about to get pretty full!
Oh yes, and how about these little Caprice sandals? They arrived this week. They are really soft and comfortable. They have a sensible heel with an adjustable velcro ankle strap. Available now in store and online.
Many of you know that I live in Hill Head, and I’m sure you will have heard about the terrible fire which completely destroyed The Osborne View, our local pub and restaurant. Our community is devastated. Apparently the cause was an electrical fault on a tumble dryer. The brewery have made a statement to say that they are totally committed to rebuilding it as a pub – so we just hope that they keep to their word. It will be sorely missed – we actually had our first ever Christmas meal their last year and we thoroughly enjoyed it – it had a great atmosphere.
Here’s hoping for another busy week, so in the meantime, take care of each other and be kind.
