Hello everyone,
I hope this message finds you well and keeping warm — it really has been bitterly cold out there lately.  Beautiful to look at, but not the easiest weather for popping into town, and Emsworth has been especially quiet over the past couple of weeks.
I wanted to write a short, honest note to you all, as I’ve always believed in being open with my customers.  January and February are traditionally our most difficult trading months, and this year has been particularly challenging. Like many small independent businesses, we’re feeling the impact of fewer people out and about, despite being in sale and working hard behind the scenes.
I’m very grateful to those of you who have continued to support us – whether by popping in, shopping online, liking or sharing posts, or simply spreading the word.  It really does mean more than you know.
I’m not closing, but I would be lying if I said this isn’t a worrying time.  Running an independent shop has never been easy, and these quieter periods can be stressful.  I wanted you to hear that directly from me rather than ever be surprised by changes down the line.
If you are able to visit us, recommend us to a friend, or shop online – now really does make a difference.  And if you have any constructive ideas or suggestions, I’m always happy to hear them.
Thank you for supporting a local independent business whenever you can. Your loyalty and kindness have kept us going through many tough times, and I truly hope to welcome you into the shop very soon – or to your doorstep via our website.
Take care of yourselves, stay warm and stylish, and thank you again for being part of our community.
Warmest wishes,
Karen
